How do I use undead hunter charm on mimic

I'm trying to get my hands on a symbol of avarice.The trick is to use the charm to pacify the mimic, see if it's dropped anything (wear as much item find++ gear as possible), and if the symbol of avarice hasn't dropped, hit the mimic to put it back to sleep, or wait until the charm effect has worn off, and then throw another one to repeat the process.Now called undead hunter charms, the item still retains this function.It usually takes a few seconds after using undead hunter charm until it either reveals an item or falls asleep again.Our good senator as guest speaker on polytechnic univer.
